GROUND LEVEL GEMS

Today saw a change after a week of drizmal wetness and as the sun dried the ground, the insects came out to inspect all the flowers and grasses in the old churchyard, where I spent a few hours observing things at ground level. The grass has grown much taller and there is a profusion of flowers glowing bright amongst the towering stems. Small, bright gems. No need for further words on this Father's Day ... just enjoy.
