Something appeared in the old churchyard yesterday ... a figure reclining in the sunshine,
I returned to see what else may have happened and another hay figure was forming ...
after wandering about amongst the various head stones, I returned to find another change
yesterdays figure had a change of face, it seemed to have grown more hair. What was going on? It seemed as if the whole churchyard was changing, mysterious things were happening as the newly cut grass was gathered up. This one had grown longer hair and the other hay figure was changing ...
I decided to return later in the day and see what other changes may have happened in my absence ... and I was in for a big surprise ... because other hay beings had appeared and even they were changing ...
And that was not all that was appearing ... in the far corner of the churchyard as the sun was beginning to set, this strange hay figure appeared, with a bottle of beer in its grasp,
an image of a local farmer who happens to like drinking a certain brand of local beer ...
So ... when they say "make hay whilst the sun shines" beware of the invisible beings that change things! And as the sun sets in the western sky, one wonders what else may appear!
